Miami

The Miami team bonding over mini golf.

New York

Our team had a fantastic time at our quarterly team-building event, which involved an exciting mini golf game. After a few intense weeks, we all relished the opportunity to engage in some friendly competition followed by a delicious dinner and a few drinks. It was especially wonderful to have our sales director, Natasha Hyatt-Khan, with us as she had been away on business travel.

Chicago

Summertime Chi is in motion, and we are keen on making sure we get to enjoy the summer together!

We joined a volleyball league hosted by the Chicago Sport & Social Club. We battled it out, learning how to play together as a team, strategizing and coming up with game plans, earning our way to the quarter finals where we were knocked out.

We also participated in Candle Making classes that were hosted by the NBC Tower. One of the Candle Making classes involved making candles from bee wax, which was interesting as we got to learn about the bees housed on the roof of the NBC Tower.

We also had potlucks to celebrate Memorial Day and American Independence Day.

Finally, we continued our tradition of Trivia Tuesdays. This time we did a Password Edition. We enjoyed working in teams as we battled to be the victorious duo.

Barbados

May: We celebrated the many special mothers in the office with beautifully decorated cupcake treats for everyone. Happy Mother’s Day!

June: We enjoyed an assortment of homemade cookies, as we celebrated and showed our appreciation for the fathers in the office. Happy Father’s Day!

June 1-29: The T20 Cricket World Cup came to Barbados! In the spirit of the season, we ran an in-house tournament to get everyone involved. Staff whose teams made it to the finals were rewarded! Very exciting month for all!

July 1-31: The Hot Steppers Challenge is back! We divided the office into four teams, and stepped up our game this year! Prizes were won each week, and an overall prize given to the team with the most steps! We also used the marcus evans whiteboard to post wellness tips, recipes and share articles.

Montreal

Montreal Wide Team Building:

All three marcus evans offices in Montreal (Montreal Down Town, Laval and West Island) came together on May 31 to partake in an intense Go Karting competition! Split into three groups, they all went through three rounds of Go Karting, a test, qualifying and final race. It was wonderful to see everyone ignite their competitive spirits! And a lucky few individuals went home that day with a medal. Thank you everyone for the fun, engaging, competitive team building event.

Mix, Mingle, and Chat!

A Memorable Evening at WIP on the Park :

Our recent company gathering, “Mix, Mingle, and Chat!” was a resounding success! Held on July 26 July at the WIP on the Park, the event was a fantastic blend of networking, relaxation, and fun. Colleagues from various departments came together to enjoy a lively evening filled with engaging conversations and new connections. The relaxed ambiance of WIP on the Park provided the perfect backdrop for casual chats and meaningful interactions. Attendees savoured light refreshments and took advantage of the opportunity to get to know one another outside of the office environment. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to welcome new ones into the fold. The evening not only strengthened existing relationships but also paved the way for future collaborations and friendships.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made the event so memorable. We look forward to more opportunities to connect and celebrate our vibrant company community!

Sales Team Building – LSE & SEA:

Our recent staff team-building retreat at Janda Baik was a resounding success! The picturesque setting provided the perfect backdrop for a range of engaging activities that brought our team closer together. From collaborative problem-solving challenges to energising group exercises, everyone participated with enthusiasm and a positive spirit. The retreat not only strengthened our teamwork and communication but also allowed us to relax and recharge in a beautiful, tranquil environment. We returned to the office with renewed energy, stronger bonds, and a shared commitment to achieving our goals.

Tokyo

The Tokyo team had a fun-filled experience at Immersive Fort Tokyo, a large-scale walkthrough theater. The whole place is one big stage packed with dancing and singing, like stepping into the world of a musical. The team got the chance to travel back in time to follow Sherlock Holmes solve a murder. Others enjoyed the horror and thrill going face-to-face with the infamous Jack the Ripper. It was nothing less than an exhilarating and immersive experience indeed.

Sydney

A vibrant Mexican lunch catch-up with the team wearing some colourful hats. The Sponsorship team welcomed new members to marcus evans Sydney.

Barcelona

A fun and sunny BBQ team building in Mataro, on the Maresme coast, for both the DA and Forums teams. A long day of fun, good vibes, good food and a historical tour of the old town, followed by some beach volleyball!

A full warm working week in the Split office (Croatia) ended up with a lunch team building on Friday on the sunny island of Stari Grad with the girls: Ferida Brzoviv, Iva Bulic and Anna Karkovi Ruiz.

London

On July 4, the London office hosted a fun team building activity, “The Film Battle” supported by cameramen and staff of “the Dutch & Famous”. At the end of the film making activity and a pizza lunch at the office, the whole group watched the final videos together. We assigned an Oscar and awards to the best director, best actor and actress, best movie and best audience. The feeling of “having something accomplished together” and the pride experienced by all group members at the same time had an enormous effect on group cohesion. A special thanks to Jack Barry, Linguarama Account Manager, for the amazing support and organising such event.

The London Summits SP Team also came together for a day of team building and review of our Mission, Vision & Standards. The day started out with some sessions in the office, reviewing what makes a great team, and how we can implement the best practices of other fantastic teams we know / have been a part of within the team we have now. That afternoon we headed out into sunny Marylebone for a virtual scavenger hunt, that tested our ability to act on the themes discussed in the morning. Untangling tough clues and breaking down wordy directions each team weaved their way through the back streets of London to uncover Professor Moriarty’s true colours. We finished up near Green Park and enjoyed a few drinks and some good food throughout the evening.

Cyprus

Our annual summer outing took place at the Beachouse Dome in Ayia Napa, featuring a thrilling “ME Olympics” team-building event. Congratulations to team Scotland for taking home the gold!
