As the summer has been heating up, so has Montreal DA! Led by the dynamic duo of Rebecca Spiteri and Habib Kawar, DA achieved its delegate targets on the Tax Officers Summit May 2023 and R&D Summit June 2023. Congrats to Rebecca and Habib for successfully managing and leading the team, as well as celebrating their one year workiversary at the company! But, they’re not the only ones celebrating a milestone. This quarter marks Pourya Ghoreyshi’s one year mark with the company. Congrats, Pourya! Moreover, as our team has been growing, so have our sales. And what better way to recognise that effort and time than going to a Drake concert? For their awesome sales performance, Sergio Bertarelli and Rebecca Spiteri won tickets to see Drake in Montreal! Well done!

Montreal has been having a cold summer but you wouldn’t know it if you were tracking the forecast by following the marcus evans team that has been both hotter and busier this summer than the Rome–Fiumicino International Airport.

Well done to Andrew Galle on his first deal that is sure to convert and lead to great benefits! Congrats to Sam Houston for three deals in the last two months on CPO. He’ll need to keep up that pace as Lois Tarikabor is looking to defend her push towards rookie of the year with a flurry of deals on A&D. Montreal hasn’t been this excited for a race since the GrandPrix was here in June.
Speaking of A&D, Kennisha-Shanice Luberisse has already contributed two new business deals. We haven’t seen a rookie with this much promise since Victor Wembanyama arrived in San Antonio last month!
Diego Maradona, Diego Garcia, one is a living legend - congrats to Diego on his first deal on Renewables, we’re sure you will sustain that level of success. Speaking of promising rookies, congrats to Tremaine Kane on his Intro deal - some are calling it the best Intro since Meek Mills’ Dreams and Nightmares! Last but not least, leading from the front like an offensive line, we had multiple deals from Tom Reid, Kevin Stern and myself.

In May, we held our Arc Flash Electrical Safety Series featuring world renowned expert Jim Phillips with over 300 participants. This year, for the first time, the event was turned into a Series hosting a Conference in Brisbane and two trainings in Perth and Auckland, which generated total revenues in excess of AUD 800,000. Well done to everyone working on this project.

The APAC Summits team was looking forward to starting the next round of events in our region. Finally, we will go back to Hong Kong after many years to host the PWM APAC Summit at the amazing Ritz Carlton Hong Kong in October.

LSE Sales
We held the 6th annual CFO Africa that took place in Johannesburg. A group of 70+ CFOs got together over a period of three days in snowy Johannesburg. The discussions were extremely engaging, delegates were happy with the presentations and are looking forward getting together annually with their fellow mates to discuss changes and challenges in the finance space.
Anthony Knox Visit
In June, we welcomed Anthony Knox our CMO to the Cape Town regional office for his annual trip. Anthony provided direction and inspiration to us all and facilitated an invaluable opportunity for open dialogue as he really does value everyone’s insights, ideas and contributions. After an extremely productive week, Anthony took all the managers out for a meal and a few drinks at a local restaurant.
Women’s World Cup
On the 20th of July, the Women’s World Cup (WWC) kicked off in New Zealand and Australia. The WWC has become an emblem of empowerment, celebrating women’s achievements in sports and fostering a brighter future for women’s football. And to make it even more interesting we decided to have an office sweepstake with cash prizes at the end of the tournament going to the top four teams and other prizes being awarded for the ‘fairest’ team and the player of the tournament to name a few. I wish everyone the best of luck and may the best team win.

The Scavenger Hunt showcased our colleagues’ problem-solving skills and teamwork, fostering collaboration and boosting creativity. It was a fun and bonding experience.

Following an afternoon spent tracking our quarterly goals, reviewing the Mission and Vision of the London Summits team, and some problem-solving tasks to get our brains thinking outside of the box, we took the Uber boat to North Greenwich and had a great evening at the Greenwich Peninsula Golf Range. We even had some celebrations, Vanessa Beale tee’ing off the Quarter with her very first deal and Tanmay Gupta being on his ’A’-Game scoring fresh business on our Investments team! A fantastic time was had by all!

April – June 2023 saw a period of re-focus back towards our core performers coming up through the ranks, and getting back to basics on pitch processes at the same time as innovating the new best practises in presenting data and information to clients that we appreciate has been productive for other performing SP summit sales offices. We are starting to see the second tier step up to higher performance levels and will continue to build around our core performers and second tier through the year. The London Summits investments and legal teams enjoyed successful trips to Montreux and Boston in June!

London Conferences Production
The growing London production team has had a very busy and productive few months creating and running events. Myself and Luis Streeter have had great support from Lelya Moscardo and Ajanta Palmiero, who are providing great examples for newer members of the team. June was manic as we ran four GFMI events in North America and three Capital Markets events in Europe which all received tremendous feedback from our clients on how our conferences provided them with tools, techniques and insights into overcoming their business challenges, delivering real positive and tangible outcomes to both end users and sponsors. The group is currently working on putting together more high-quality events for the Autumn, and we are looking forward to a busy and successful September!

Linguarama Group Internal Training and Feedback
Internal training for all staff has always helped us ensure quality and success at Linguarama. In the first six months of 2023, we ran 160 live training sessions for our people around the world with 1062 participations.
We’ve run sessions on: teaching business skills; helping learners learn online; product knowledge; developing teams; urgency not emergency and many more.
We regularly run sessions in German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, French and English.
Running feedback on our training offering helps us know what is working. In May, we received feedback on our Group Internal Training from 190 staff.
